Digital-First Branding for Direx: Brand and Accessible Website for Greater Visibility
In today's world, extreme climatic situations, geopolitical tensions and wars are putting our world under increasing pressure. To ensure that society, the economy and critical infrastructures remain capable of acting even in crises, digital resilience is needed – secure, reliable and practically implemented.
This is exactly where DiReX comes in: The Digital Resilience Xchange brings research on crisis-proof technologies into application and makes innovations visible. DIE NEUDENKER® developed the brand identity and created the accessible WordPress website for DiReX, the central application and transfer center at the Technical University of Darmstadt (Germany).
Strong interplay of digital-first branding, accessible web design and social media
As a design agency, we supported DiReX strategically right from the start: In a compact kick-off, we precisely worked out goals, expectations and the desired brand impact. This resulted in a digital-first branding that is consistently designed for digital channels. A strong visual identity with recognizable elements that unfolds consistently across the website and social media and builds trust. For optimal web requirements, we adapted the logo and developed a complete corporate design with colors, typography and graphic style – accompanied by classic applications such as business cards and letterhead.
What is the added value of brand-compliant LinkedIn templates?
Brand-compliant LinkedIn templates combine quality and speed: they ensure consistent, professional content that matches the brand and is immediately recognizable. This creates a uniform appearance that promotes interaction and sharpens the target group approach. At the same time, the templates simplify the process: the DiReX editorial team adapts content quickly and publishes it rapidly on the social media channels – whether as a single post or a carousel/slider. The result: less effort, less friction, more output with consistent brand quality.
Implementation of WCAG: Accessible website from concept to go-live
Alongside social media (LinkedIn), the DiReX website is a central communication medium. Accessibility was an important requirement and was already taken into account by us in the design process and consistently implemented according to WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) - along the principles of perceptibility, usability, comprehensibility and robustness. With well thought-out contrasts, easy-to-read font sizes, text alternatives, clear structures and hierarchies and full keyboard operability, DIE NEUDENKER® create a website for DiReX that people with disabilities can use safely and independently. Using NEO A11y, the integrated accessibility tool from DIE NEUDENKER®, users can also adapt the display to their individual needs - immediately, quickly and easily. This creates an inclusive user experience and provides the basis for reliable, legally compliant accessibility.
