Brand Relaunch: New Brand Design for Rixius AG, Mannheim

From a traditional packaging wholesaler to a full-service digital packaging service provider - Mannheim-based Rixius AG has undergone a comprehensive transformation in recent years. This development should also become visible externally. Thus, Rixius commissioned DIE NEUDENKER®, brand agency in Darmstadt (Germany), with the relaunch of the brand design. 

Together with our customer, we developed a brand strategy in the NEUDENKER brand workshop - because future positioning, target groups, brand values, brand goals and the core message of the brand are essential. The analysis of these workshop results serves us as a basis for the brand design. The prerequisite for an authentic brand that is credible and recognizable for customers.

Brand communication from the inside out

Innovative packaging made of plastic and glass, versatile containers suitable for customer-specific applications. This is what Rixius stands for, for more than 140 years. At an early stage, the company successfully implemented the process of digitalisation. Now employees and customers are the focus of a new corporate communication.

Sign of this change is the newly developed logo. The 'X' is highlighted in color and is a symbol for the brand core, the DNA of the company. Complemented by the claim 'X-PERTS IN PACKAGING', a strong reference to the brand promise is established.

Brand event for employees - an unforgettable brand experience

The relaunch also includes the Rixius website. DIE NEUDENKER® revised the structure and design concept. Existing elements and corporate fonts were optimized or renewed. For the three major packaging themes - lifestyle, pharmaceuticals, chemicals/industry - we defined a color system with representative, characteristic theme images. Overall, the website is now more clearly structured and user-friendly. In the news section, Rixius has the opportunity to report on 'News from the world of packaging'. Blog articles on sustainable product innovations, the environment, company involvement and events keep website visitors up to date.

Long-term employee loyalty is another important corporate value at Rixius. For the brand relaunch, Rixius held a summer party. There, the new image and logo were presented to the employees in a brand launch video (by DIE NEUDENKER®). The associated trampoline competition also originated from the NEUDENKER think tank. Employees complete creative 'X-jumps' and the most beautiful is awarded a prize. The new brand design was enthusiastically received and the team spirit was sustainably increased.
