Video Ad ‚MedTec’ - Inspired by the Medical Engineering Course at Technical University (TU) of Darmstadt
We're running it! After the university marketing campaign for the Technical University of Darmstadt (TU Darmstadt), the new medical engineering course inspired us to create an exciting 3D-animated video Ad.
The one-minute video arouses curiosity about the new course of studies, gets along without any voice-over and captivates the viewer with impressive pictures. This makes the video the perfect choice for achieving reach on social media, attracting visitors to the exhibition stand at training fairs or perhaps even being used as a commercial in the cinema.
But what is the video ad 'MedTec' all about?
MedTec - a course of studies with a claim and a future
Behind MedTec - short for medical technology - is the new interdisciplinary cooperative course of study between the Technical University (TU) of Darmstadt and the Goethe University of Frankfurt am Main.
The special thing? Whoever studies MedTec is studying two subjects, so to speak - 20% medicine and 80% technology!
And this course of study is quite a challenge: While MedTec students at Technical University (TU) of Darmstadt devote themselves to electrical and information technology research, they gain important insights into medicine at Frankfurt's Goethe University. The best prerequisites for developing and operating highly complex medical devices in research, industry or healthcare later on.
Video Ad: Medicine and technology merge into one
Our video Ad takes the audience into a strange world: two drops float weightlessly through space, heading for each other and merging into one in the grand finale. Just like the departments of medicine and technology in the MedTec course!
In order to be able to reproduce and animate the liquids so realistically, our motion designer relied on "X-Particles", a plug-in for the 3D animation software Cinema 4D. Even the environment is reflected in the wafting surface of the drops - a perfect illusion!
Science fiction flair is provided by the head-up display, which seems to project medical-technical motifs into the picture and thus refers to the two components of the MedTec course of studies.
Green and blue, the corporate colours of the MedTec department, dominate the colour scheme. These were already used in our university marketing campaign for the TU. And the key visual of the campaign is also used again in the video ad: as the final sequence, followed by a call-to-action to the audience.
