Video Animation Toolkit for StartHub Hessen, Part of Hessen Trade & Invest (HTAI)
Hessen Trade & Invest GmbH (HTAI) is the economic development agency of the state of Hessen, Germany. With StartHub Hessen, it has created a central contact point for start-ups in our federal state. The company wants to sustainably develop Hessen as a business and technology location and strongly involve young people.
StartHub Hessen's brand presence is aimed specifically at a young audience such as founders and those interested in starting a business. The communication is therefore mainly via digital channels - especially in form of short video clips and interviews on social media. For these videos, StartHub Hessen needed a video toolkit - a construction kit consisting of an animated opener, insert/belly band and outro - that can be used variably in the video production.
Hessen Trade & Invest commissioned DIE NEUDENKER® for the video animation. As a video agency in the digital city of Darmstadt (Germany), we were particularly pleased about the request.
Simple & modular: Video Toolkit
We started with a storyboard with various CI-compliant design proposals. In the intro, the viewer follows striking lines that stand for the "path" of the start-ups and founders. Ultimately, these lines form the StartHub Hessen logo. This is followed by the real film video, which is produced and used individually by Hessen Trade & Invest. A belly band designed and animated by us provides information on the people and speakers involved. The outro is elegantly superimposed on the live-action film: the claim "Local Heros. Global Players." forms the closing word, followed by the web link as a call-to-action.
For the implementation, DIE NEUDENKER® relied on dynamic video cuts and lively music to appeal to the young target group. Our 2D animations (created in Adobe After Effects and Premiere) form a constant, recognisable bracket around the StartHub videos!
The Video Toolkit is a modular construction kit and easy to use for our client, StartHub Hessen. We created the video animations in the screen formats 16:9, 1:1 and 9:16, so that they can be easily used in various social media channels such as YouTube and Instagram. This is a clear benefit in order to better reach start-ups with their innovative business ideas and to promote and strengthen the economy in the long term through start-ups.

The Video Toolkit can be used variably according to requirements. The three animated components – intro, insert and outro – give the various videos the typical StartHub Hessen look. The three screen formats enable the use on different devices and social networks.
