Explainer Videos for Optomet

The Darmstadt based optomet GmbH develops Laser Doppler Vibrometers: Measuring instruments with integrated laser. They enable high-precision, non-contact measurements of mechanical vibrations - even on problematic surfaces. The specially developed optomet software provides the visualization of the measurement data.

With the desire to make it easier for their website visitors to access their product that requires explanation, optomet turned to the video and marketing experts at DIE NEUDENKER®.

Our solution: the production of an explainer video series

Each of the videos produced is dedicated to one of the numerous applications of Laser Doppler Vibrometry:

• the use in the aerospace industry under extreme heat ("Vibrometry" video)
• the sound field measurement, e.g. for sound optimization of musical instruments ("Acoustic Levitator")
• in component manufacturing and materials research ("Carbon Composites"),
• for operational vibration analysis in mechanical and plant engineering, also for rotating parts ("flex"),
• for vibration analysis of objects of different sizes ("High Dynamic Range").

Placed on the application pages of optomet.de, the explanatory videos provide a quick overview of the functionality and special features of optomet measurement technology. Thanks to their average video length of 90 seconds, they also extend the length of time visitors stay and thus have a positive effect on Google rankings.

Explainer video production with serial character

Although the explainer films differ in content, they are clearly recognizable as part of a series. The similar structure and the identical background music give the videos a serial character with high recognition value.

The logo animation, which we developed and animated individually for optomot, serves as the intro.

The main part consists of real film shots, photo motion (animated business photography) and 2D animation of pictograms. Short text insertions underline the most important statements of the explanatory videos and make a voice-over unnecessary. The videos are therefore also ideally suited for use at trade fairs or social media.

DIE NEUDENKER® were on site at the customer's premises for the photo and film shoots. Further image material - e.g. the screencast recordings showing the measurement data visualization in the optomet software - were provided by the customer. For this we provided color correction, retouching and editing.
