hobit 2023: Social Media Campaign for the University and Career Information Days Darmstadt

Brand refresh for hobit on the social media channels Instagram and Facebook! As hobit's new lead agency, we were also commissioned with the conception, design and implementation of the 2023 social media campaign as part of the initial cross-media marketing campaign.

DIE NEUDENKER® have already developed and designed the website for the University and Career Information Days Darmstadt (hobit): a platform on which (young) people can discover the wide range of degree courses and training opportunities offered by universities and companies in the Rhine-Main region. On the website, students, parents and teachers can find current information and the program of the annual study and career information days: hobit talks and hobit contact. The two events complement each other and take place alternately online and on site at the hobit organizers* in Darmstadt (Germany). In order to increase awareness and reach, the events are now also shared and advertised on hobit's social media profiles.

With social media marketing: More reach, more participants at hobit events

In order to reach the young target group of school graduates, social media is an essential digital marketing tool alongside the website for hobit. With the claim „Mach, wie du fühlst!“ (“Do what you feel!”) and the striking graphic key visual, we created a memorable, cross-media campaign motif. The new brand image is young, colorful, has personality - and goes straight to the head and heart!

The social media communication strategy developed by DIE NEUDENKER® comprises various posts consisting of reels (short video animations), graphics, fresh texts and corresponding hashtags. The wording and look are tailored precisely to the target group. 

A social media editorial plan facilitates content planning and guarantees regular publications on the social media platforms Instagram and Facebook. Perfectly prepared and coordinated with the hobit events. 

To achieve the highest possible reach, we also used social advertising. We created and placed social ads and Google Ads for the 2023 hobit campaign.

The results of our work are also reflected in our subsequent reporting on social media activities and ads. THE NEUDENKER® reels recorded a tenfold increase in views compared to the previous campaign (average value). 
Our customer was pleased with the lively growth in followers on Instagram and Facebook and a well-attended hobit event series.
